Whether you simply want a concert of Dolly Parton songs, or would like to create an entire Dolly Day of activities, we can help you make sure the day is fun and informative.

After years of asking, it’s finally happened, Tonks & the Aurors has joined PATREON!

Since 2007, Tonks & the Aurors has made original rock music about Harry Potter (AKA Wizard Rock) and other books. All Tonks & the Aurors songs are written and produced by me, Steph “Tonks” Anderson, who also serves as show booker, tour manager, and merchandise producer.

The band and I have gone on tour every year since 2008. The foundation of the band’s presence in Wizard rock is playing in libraries, book stores, and nerd conventions. That changed for me and my rotating bandmates in 2020—cancelling over 40 shows we had booked and causing me to look into new ways to help us engage you, our existing fans, and new fans, too, so we can keep rocking the world.

With the recent transfer of attention within the Harry Potter fandom from the author to fan creators, it’s a great time to invest in Tonks & the Aurors via Patreon. I’ve spent time curating tiers that are interesting and achievable for me, even when touring starts up again.

WHAT DO I GET?
There are five tiers to choose from to show your support and get something in return from Tonks. These tiers all build on each other, so the higher you go, the more unique things you get in return!
$5 - The First to Know

You get early access to everything from song ideas and test episodes of a future Tonks podcast to behind-the-scenes photos and polls on merch ideas, items, and designs! You’ll be the first to know when we start touring again, too.

$7 - Stream Team

Being a part of the STREAM TEAM means you get access to a monthly live stream from Tonks. It might be full band, solo, or even a Q&A session. This tier will also include access to Patreon-exclusive merchandise in the near future!

$9 - Cover to Cover

Access to a monthly cover song that you can download only on Patreon, as well as access to the first two tiers!

$14 - BFF

Let's be BFFs! You’ll be on Tonks & the Aurors’ Instagram close friends. You can send us TikTok videos to duet/react. Submit song requests for live streams (Stream Team tier) and covers (Cover to Cover). We'll find ways to make you feel extra special at live shows in the future, too.

$50 - Common Room Party

You get a quarterly private live stream! We can chat or play some songs. I can give you a guitar lesson, or we can share a song-writing session. This can be a 1:1 session, or you can invite your friends and make it a party!

HOW DOES TONKS BENEFIT?
Not touring has meant a substantial hit to the income that goes directly into creating and producing new merch and new albums, as well as paying various regular bills that the band has (storage units, streaming services publishing, etc). Patreon will enable me to keep creating and to pay other artists to record drums, master our albums, and even work on new merchandise art.

A portion of all our income goes to ourYes All Witchesgrant program that assists new artists in beginning or furthering their Wizard rock careers.

2017 was a fun year for wizard rock and Tonks & the Aurors in particular as we traveled to Ireland and continued touring in the USA extensively. We also spent much of our time working with charities like the Harry Potter Alliance to teach young magical people to be activists in their local communities. 2018 is shaping up to be similar and we couldn't be happier!

2015 rocked!

November 1st brought the 8th anniversary of Tonks and the Aurors first show. Back in 2007 we had no idea that such a crazy idea to start a wizard rock band would bring us to today. This summer alone, we rocked libraries, met new amazing fans, fell in love with some kick ass librarians, and started a new movement in YES ALL WITCHES. Currently we have 3 shows left in 2015, and we plan to use these to launch us into the most amazing year ever for this scrappy little wizard rock band with Detroit roots. Come part with us before be bust into 2016!

Tonks & the Aurors is always looking for cool new opportunities to partner with people in the arts around the US (and internationally!). This year, we were approached with something awesome, and couldn't say no. In April we'll be playing wizard rock before a few performances of a brand new play that focuses on some of the best and worst parts of fandom: crack fanfic

Tonks & the Aurors will be playing 30 minute sets before 3 performances of Strange Bedfellows Theatre's BADFIC LOVE at the Den Theatre in Chicago. T&tA will play at 7:00 before the show, and sell merch at each performance April 16 - 19.

Tour 2014 Wrap-Up, and 2015 news!

After the final concert in Ann Arbor, MI, the entire #RockTheLibrary tour went to Brighton, MI for a day on the lake. After so many days in a car, I loved the chance to relax by the water. We floated, sunbathed, and enjoyed the last few moments together as a tour!

While lying by the lake, Tianna, Kirstyn, Monica, and I began to outline plans for another crazy tour next summer! I can’t wait to start booking tour dates in December.

After tour wrapped, Automatic rolled out a new web-based dashboard that allows you to manipulate your travel data more than ever before. I’m using this data now to show me trends and to track our path for 2015’s tour schedule.

Before Automatic, touring with a rental car could be hectic and worrisome. Driving unfamiliar vehicles in unknown locales means you have to be ready for any possibility. However, Automatic gave us more control over our vehicle and location, more data to keep us on track, and even gave us peace of mind if anything disastrous should happen.

As a musician who travels often, not having to worry about a rental car with issues or being unfamiliar with the gas mileage and performance on a borrowed vehicle, means that I can focus less on avoiding potential problems and focus more on what I do best: playing music! I think Automatic has made the biggest impact on my long-range travel technology since the iPhone became my travel companion many years ago.

Armed with the data that Automatic gives, my favorite musicians to travel with, and a map app, I’m more prepared than ever for next summer! I hope to see you at a library or bookstore soon.
